Bio

After I finished college, I went to Italy for a year to improve my stone carving skills. A year turned into a decade, and then several. My skills improved, as well as my understanding of how public sculpture found its way into museums and up onto pedestals all over the United States. In fact, I’ve seen kids produce remarkable works of art, pure because their intent is focused on doing their best. Adults, and particularly artists, tend to need attention and recognition, which distracts them from the task at hand. Children ask if they can make a convincing face, while adults ask what will make people know it’s mine?
